Crime Solvers Seeks Fugitive on the Run UPDATE – Childs is Located and Apprehended Dominique Ashley Childs was apprehended this morning at the home of an acquaintance in Arlington County. Fairfax County detectives and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force made the arrest without incident. Childs was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where the warrants were served.
Fairfax County Crime Solvers is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Dominique Ashley Childs. Childs was in criminal court on Tuesday, April 27, in the middle of an ongoing trial when the court recessed for lunch. Childs fled the courthouse and never returned. He was facing charges of burglary, grand larceny and receiving stolen property. Dominique A. Childs currently has outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court on those charges mentioned above as well as contempt of court. Childs is 26 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Tipsters should not attempt to apprehend Childs but instead, notify law enforcement.
