October 27, 2011 Crime Solvers Seeks Suspect(s) in Attempted ATM Theft Fairfax County Crime Solvers is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for breaking into an automated teller machine (ATM) and stealing cash. Police and fire personnel were called to 5622 Ox Road in the Fairfax Station area for a suspicious event around 4:28 a.m. on Monday, October 17. An investigation determined a 61-year-old man entered the location to use the ATM and noticed the strong odor of something burning. Officers determined someone cut a hole in the drywall behind the ATM along with several wires and forced entry into the machine. The suspect(s) stole an undisclosed amount of cash from inside. There are no videos or photos available at this time.
