Crime Solvers Seeks Suspects in
Springfield-Area Homicide
Fairfax County Crime Solvers is asking for the public’s assistance in
identifying the suspects responsible for the shooting death of a 19-year-old
man. Around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, December 2, the victim, Christian Argueta, and
his 19-year-old friend left the Cerro Grande Restaurant, located in the 6500
block of Springfield Mall. They were confronted by two other males in the
parking lot. Words were exchanged; one of the suspects brandished a handgun and
shot Argueta in the upper body. The second victim ran for help; he was not
injured. The suspects fled the area.
The first suspect was described as Hispanic, in his 20s with a thin build. He
was wearing a black or blue shirt, jeans and a blue baseball cap. The second
suspect was described as Hispanic, in his 20s with a medium build. He was
wearing a black coat and had short, curly hair.
Anyone who may have been in the parking lot or seen the shooting take place is
asked to contact Crime Solvers. In addition, anyone with information on the
identities of the suspects is asked to call. A $1,000 cash reward will be
paid for information that leads to an arrest. As always, the tip line is
anonymous; callers never have to give their names or appear in court. |
