Crime Solvers Seeks Identity of Robbery Suspect

Fairfax County Crime Solvers is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for robbing and assaulting a Springfield-area man. The 41-year-old man arrived at his office building, located in the 6300 block of Rolling Mill Place in the Springfield area, on Monday, July 9 at 8:15 a.m. He unlocked the front door and as he entered, he was struck in the upper body by the suspect inside the building. The victim was forced to the ground and the suspect took money from him. The suspect fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as black and in his mid 20s. He was about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a navy blue, hooded sweat shirt and blue jeans.

In addition to the $1,000 cash reward being offered by Crime Solvers, an additional private reward of $5,000 is also being offered for information that leads to an arrest. The private reward offer expires on July 31, 2009.
