Crime Solvers Seeks Identity of Larceny
Suspect(s) in Reston
Fairfax County Crime Solvers is seeking the public’s assistance in
identifying the person(s) responsible for stealing numerous pieces of art from
the Reston Art Festival in May. The festival was held at the Reston Towne
Centre, located at 11921 Discovery Drive. Between 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 19
and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 20 numerous display tents were unzipped and various
pieces of art were stolen. The following pieces were taken:
- One 9”x12” painting of a face - $650
- One 16”x20” painting of two people - $450
- One 11”x14” painting of two people - $200
- Ten unframed paintings of people - $1,150
- One harp that measured 20” long, 7” wide, 2” deep, in a triangular shape -
$725
- Two Japanese paper art pieces - $300
- One 3 feet tall statue of a medicine man - $600

One 12”x24” painting of medieval colors - $975
Anyone with information on these
larcenies or the suspect(s) involved is asked to call Fairfax County Crime
Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477. A $100 to $1,000 cash reward will be paid for
information which leads to an arrest. As always, callers never have to give
their names or appear in court.
