Crime Solvers Seeks Identity of Bank Robbery Suspect

Fairfax County Crime Solvers is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the man responsible for robbing the employees of a McLean-area bank. On Wednesday, November 14 shortly after 10 a.m. the man entered the United Bank, located at 1320 Chain Bridge Road. He approached the teller, a 22-year-old Arlington man, and passed a note. The note implied a weapon and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled the bank on foot. The victim was not injured.

Surveillance video caught the suspect on tape and detectives are hoping someone will recognize him. The suspect was described as a White or Middle Eastern man in his early 20s. He was 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed about 145 pounds. He was wearing a white ball cap, gray fleece jacket and dark pants.

Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect or the bank robbery is asked to call Fairfax County Crime Solvers. A $1,000 cash reward will be paid for information that leads to an arrest. As always, callers never have to give their names or appear in court.
