Crime Solvers Seeks Help Locating Stolen
Jewelry and Suspect
Fairfax County Crime Solvers is asking for the public’s
assistance in identifying the person responsible for stealing jewelry from a
vehicle. On Sunday, March 11 at 11:30 p.m., the owner of a 2006 Chevy Yukon
discovered approximately $275,000 worth of jewelry had been taken from inside
his unlocked car. The vehicle was parked in the 8100 block of Briar Creek Drive
in the Annandale area.
On April 30 an employee of the Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, located at 3901
Woodburn Road, found a bag of jewelry by a door. Police were called and an
investigation determined the jewelry belonged to the victim from March 11;
however, only $10,000 worth of the jewelry was recovered.
Detectives are trying to locate the remaining jewelry pieces and the suspect
responsible for taking them. Anyone with information on the jewelry or the
suspect involved is asked to call Fairfax County Crime Solvers at
1-866-411-TIPS/8477. A $1,000 cash reward will be paid for information that
leads to an arrest. As always, callers never have to give their name or appear
in court.
