Crime Solvers Seeks Identity of
Bank Robber Fairfax County Crime Solvers is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man responsible for robbing the employees of a bank in the Franklin Farms area. On Monday, January 7 at 5:25 p.m. the man entered the BB&T Bank, located at 13360 Franklin Farms Road. He approached a 69-year-old Fairfax woman who was working as a teller. The man immediately pointed a gun at the woman, announced the robbery and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.
Surveillance cameras captured the suspect during the robbery; investigators are hopeful someone will recognize him. Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect or the bank robbery is asked to call Fairfax County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477. A $1,000 cash reward will be paid for information that leads to an arrest. As always, callers never have to give their names or appear in court.
